"The dxDAO is an ambitious experiment, and one of the largest blockchain-based coordination endeavors to date since “The DAO.” The idea for the dxDAO initially arose from Gnosis’ design and development of a permissionless trading protocol, the DutchX, which has proved its viability as critical infrastructure providing a decentralized, on-chain price oracle and facilitating large volume trades without slippage. To support community governance through the users of the DutchX, upgradeability particularly in the face of regulatory change, and the network effects necessary for the DutchX, it became clear a governance mechanism such as the dxDAO would be essential."
-------> "Its lifelong trajectory will ultimately be decided by what community stakeholders deem to be the most legit pursuits!"
With this and the Aragon fundraising app, we now have two more experiments in the decentralized governance space. My question is - how do we start segmenting and iterating on these designs in specific use cases? Do we really believe that we can just leave these projects up to "community trajectory" to figure it out?
Am I being too cynical to look at these governance experiments as just a big plutocratic network? 🤔
