An Ethereum-based artwork by Simon de la Rouviere based on the idea of Harbinger Tax described in Radical Markets. Anyone can buy from the current owner. The buyer has to set the sale price she's willing to sell the work for, but has to pay a 5% annual tax on that price to the artist.

This is such a fun experiment! It’s been really interesting to see already how things have progressed. The price went from 0.3 eth all the way to 888 eth in a matter of hours. At that price and current eth value, Simon will make $6k in COST patronage over a year. (Disclosure: I was the first buyer, and I definitely somewhat regret not setting the price much higher to begin with!)

Seem like you still did well though and are not stuck with the tax 😎. One thing I was wonderIng is wether the owner can change the proce over time, or is it set for the duration of ownership?

Yes, there are some ownerOnly functions where you can change the price. You can even choose to default on your tax obligation, which means the art goes back to having no owner. I’m not sure whether that means the price drops again to zero, though.
