As a survivor of domestic violence, I see and believe her. What makes me cringe the most is seeing people ask why didn’t she leave, as that only reveals how clueless the person asking is about this kind of abuse. I was asking it as well before I met my abuser at 22. And the fact that he’s asking it, while pretending that he was the victim in this is even more worthy of cringe.
