If cops and prosecutors faced consequences for bringing charges with zero merit this would not be necessary, then again the whole justice system is built on baseless bull shit because cops use mass arrests as a method of curtailing political speech and violating our first amendment rights.

I am 58 yr old black guy and my 15year daughter who told her grandma that the reason why cops specifically “white cops” often kill, harm, or are nasty towards black people or people of color, is because to them.... . .it doesn't matter where out ancestors came from we all look the same, and they still see us as runaway slaves. That broke my heart, but I wasn’t surprised since this whole country’s police force was built on the foundation on white supremacy and racism against brown and black people. When the government fears the people, there's freedom. When the people fear the government, there's tyranny. That being said... As much as I agree with the statement, "Black lives matter"... as they do matter, very much... The police don't just infringe on the rights of black people. They infringe on all of our rights. While there are some police that do a good job, there are a great many of them that do not. Instead of making this a black only issue, the issue of the police stems to all of us.
