If you are concerned about the COVID vaccines because of the problems reported in that study, they aren’t actually that similar. The article you linked is about using enzymes (ADAR and others) to edit large swaths of RNA inside our cells to treat genetic disease. That is, it’s the RNA equivalent of the DNA-altering CRISPR gene therapy. The mRNA vaccines do not carry any enzymes that can alter the DNA or RNA of cells in the body. They simply trigger the production of copies of the spike protein. It’s similar in function to traditional vaccines, just with a different mechanism. It’s not gene therapy.
